Born and raised in the Midwest, I attended the University of Northern Iowa for a degree in Marketing and minor in German.  After a few jobs that left me looking for more, I opted to make a change and move to Colorado.

Upon moving to Colorado, I ran marketing/advertising for one of the largest bicycle shops in the country.  After helping a few musician friends with some of their marketing and business affairs, I found myself being drawn to the music industry more and more.  It was at this time that I decided to dive head first into the music biz.  I began working with a variety of bands/artists in Colorado and elsewhere in the Midwest.  Although music is often very subjective, I like to think that I have a very good ear.  I have done a wide variety of work in the music business - business manager, tour manager, production manager, A&R rep, marketing, promotions, video producer, venue booking, sound tech, and some studio producing.  After about 5 years of putting every ounce of my energy into the music business, it was time for a break.

For the last three years, I have been working with an experiential marketing agency in Boulder, CO.  I have learned many valuable skills here, and have worked on a lot of great projects across the country ranging from very large to small.  Experiential marketing allows me to utilize a variety of skills - creativity, management, event production, client development, and much more.  The event side is something I have worked on for almost 14 years.  Events are stressful, hectic, long hours, and overall, awesome.  There's nothing quite as rewarding as putting together an event that you have been working on for months, and having thousands of people show up.  The instant gratification makes it all worth while.

I take great pride in the way I do business.  One of the core business philosophies I live by came from one of my college marketing professors - "If you build successful relationships, profitable transactions will follow."
